We have plenty of other friends who will be getting married in the future. My friend was quoted more than 3 times what another place cost. And they charge way more for alterations than other places. Oh, and they did say I could make an appointment for alterations, but I know they just want my money. REALLY?!?! They don't have anything in inventory either, so it will take a long time if you do want to order another dress and spend more money with them. And if the dress happens to be too small, which makes it very difficult/impossible to alter, they can do nothing for you to correct their mistake. You then have to wait 3 months for them to make the dress. (Or so you would think.) You have to pre-pay for the dress ahead of time, which was about $200 for us. You rely on them to size you correctly for their dresses. You can't try on your exact size in the store because they don't carry all sizes. I'm now stuck with a dress that is too small and a store that is not willing to work with me. I went into the store, got measured, placed the order, paid, and patiently waited. If you do make a mistake in your sizing or dress-making, own up to it and correct it. I can easily (and will in the future) go to many other stores where they will actually correct their mistakes. So if they happen to measure you and order you the wrong size or make the dress wrong, they can do nothing for you.

When I called the store, they said they could do nothing for me since there are no exchanges or refunds allowed. Another girl in our bridal party had the exact same issue, along with other manufacturing defects with the dress. I can't breathe comfortably or move around in it.
ANGELO BRIDAL ZIP
My measurements are the same as before, but I can barely zip it up. The bust and waist are fine, maybe even a little loose. Well, I got my dress 3 months later, and it was way too tight in the rib cage area. They told me their dresses run big, and it was definitely going to be big on me, so I was very comfortable with that decision. Always easier to take a dress in than to add to it. Basically, when I was measured, they told me I was a smaller size than I expected, and I made them size me up just in case. Had a pleasant experience in the store but everything went downhill from there. The intellectual property of the Alfred Angelo labels was bought by a Shanghai-based online retailer.Horrible business policies when it's their fault In 2019, the company's total liabilities were reported at $78 million and only $245,000 was raised from a warehouse sale. Much of the inventory was lost to warehouse and shipper's liens. One year later, the case was still in court administration with US$20 million in claims from store customers. On July 13, 2017, the company filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation and immediately closed all of its stores. The company was featured on a 2013 episode of the television show Undercover Boss. Dresses were marketed by style and pricing under the labels Alfred Angelo, Sapphire, Modern Vintage, and Disney Fairy Tale collections. In the 1980s, the founder's children began managing the company. The company sold bridal and formal attire through its name-brand stores and in partner stores. Edythe designed the dresses and Alfred focused on manufacturing and business development. The company was founded by Alfred Angelo and his wife Edythe Piccione in the mid-1930s in Philadelphia.

In 2017, Alfred Angelo abruptly closed all of its store locations and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation. While primarily recognized for its wedding dress fashions, the company also designed dresses for bridesmaids, mothers of the bride, flower girls, and also sold wedding accessories.
